Strategic Intelligence

The development of a better understanding of the effects of human interactions in an increasingly complex and environmentally stressed world demand an ongoing observation of the physical, chemical, and biological systems on earth.

In response to this unprecedented social, economic and environmental challenge, one of the most compelling responses of the international community was the creation of The Committee on Earth Observation Satellites (CEOS) since 1984. As of 2020, it had 34 national space agencies as regular members and other 25 associate members.

From another perspective, in recent years, the World Economic Forum developed its Strategic Intelligence platform to help organizations identify forces driving transformational change across economies, industries, and global issues.

In Pangea Professional Services, we used this strategic platform to narrow the scope of our proposed Transformation Map to identify the connections with the highest multiplier effect amidst the vast universe of topics co-curated with leading universities and international organizations. In our scope we consider the below list as the principal drivers in our business conversations.

  • Our mission is to help organizations and stakeholders to utilize Earth observation data to identify and implement solutions, monitor progress and measure impacts.

  • Our vision is to become a key player in the generation of solid insights and contribute to the consolidation of an international infrastructure with an open deployment.

“Indigenous knowledges have long understood non-human entities as living ancestral beings  with a right to life that must be protected. But only recently have animals, plants, mountains, and bodies of water been granted legal personhood. If we can recognize them as individual beings, what might they say?”
